Macadamia Nut Oil (SPF 6)

Macadamia nut oil has a light, nutty scent that is lovely on its own or when combined with other natural scents.  The oil is created by pressing the nuts of the Macadamia tree, and creates an oil that acts similarly to naturally occurring sebum on the skin.  This ensures a high rate of absorption and makes it suitable for use on its own or in a variety of body care products.  It also has a very non-greasy texture, so skin feels touchable quickly after application.

The combination of oleic and palmitoleic acid can make macadamia oil a strong choice for very dry or mature skin.  Additionally, the anti-inflammatory properties help alleviate an itch associated with dry skin while the included linoleic fatty acids help even the driest skin retain more moisture.

Macadamia oil can be sensitive to light, and will degrade depending on exposure.

Best Uses:

  • Facial Oil for Dry and Sensitive Skin
